How To Connect An External Display or Monitor To Laptop

Connect an External Display :

Basically all Laptop got VGA port and moreover new Laptops that were manufactured in the past two-three years come with a HDMI port to connect your computer to an external display. Connecting and activating an external display with various options on a Windows 7 machine is simple.

Follow the steps to connect your Windows 7 installed notebook to an external display:


1. Connect your laptop to the external display using VGA or HDMI cable.
 2. Then, switch on your laptop and also the external display.
 3. Once Windows 7 is up, type Mobility Center in Start menu search area and hit enter to open Windows Mobility Center taskbar (or simply click Windows logo key + X).

4. If you have connected your laptop to the external display properly, you should now see Display connected text at  External display section of Windows Mobility Center. To use the connected external display, click Connect Display button.



5. You got four several display mode to show with external display. Select one that you want. You should now see your desktop in the external display as well.


When the display is connected and active, use Windows + P keys to quickly switch between these displays.

 6. You can disconnect the external display by using disconnect button in the Windows Mobility Center.
