How To Enable System Restore Feature In Windows 7

Enable System Restore :

By System Restore feature present in Windows you can restore your computer’s system files to an earlier point in time. If you face unknown error or problem, you can undo system changes to your computer without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.






By default, System Restore feature is enabled in Windows 7. In case, if you get “System Protection is turned off” message while trying to create a restore point you need to enable it first.

Here is an way to enable System Restore feature in Windows 7:




1. Type sysdm.cpl in Start menu search field and then hit enter to open System Properties dialog box.




2. After opened the window, switch to System Protection tab.

3. Now, under Protection Settings section select the drive for which you want to enable System Restore feature and then click Configure button.



4. Here check the radio button Restore system settings and previous versions of files option.
 5. Click Apply button to enable System Restore for the selected drive.

Repeat the same actions to enable System Restore feature on other drives as well.
