How To Use Problem Steps Recorder - Windows 7

Problem Steps Recorder :

Windows 7 has a new unique feature named Problem Steps Recorder. Problem Steps Recorder is very useful if you want to record and show the steps that need to be followed to accomplish one or more tasks to someone else.

Moreover you can use Problem Steps Recorder to automatically capture the steps you take on a computer, including a text description of where you clicked and a picture of the screen during each click.





By the PSR is that you can also view the recorder steps as a slide show as well.

Lets Try :
1. Type psr in Start menu search field and hit enter to launch Problem Steps Recorder.
2. Click on Start Record button to begin recording your steps. You can record any number of steps using PSR.
 3. When you finish all your tasks, hit the Stop Record button to close recording and save the file in your desired locaion.
4. The file will be saved as a ZIP file. You can use the default file extraction feature or any other tools such as Win-Zip or WinRar to unzip the file.
 
5. Double-click on the MHT extension file to view all recorded steps in your browser or as a slide show.

Add Comment : Note that the Problem Steps Recorder will not record the text that you type while recording. To add text to your screenshots, use add text comment feature available in PSR tool.

Settings :
-To preset the output location of the recorded file, open Settings in PSR and browse to the desired location.
-Enable Screen Capture : You can enable/disable this option by Yes/No buttons.
-Number of recent captures to store : You can specify how many maximum recent screen captures you want.
