How To Manually Create A Custom Logon Message In Windows 7

Custom Logon Message :

 You can find Logon Notifier utility which enables you display a custom message just before the logon screen. Actually the tool simply adds an entry to the Windows registry to display your custom message.

 

But, It you want you can add this message manually with the Windows registry as well. To do this follow the steps carefully :

1. Type regedit in Start menu search area and hit enter to launch Windows Registry Editor.

2. Next, navigate to the following registry key :

                 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Current Version -> Policies -> System.

3. In the right-pane, search for the following entries : "legalnoticecaption" and "legalnoticetext".

4.  -Double-click on legalnoticecaption entry and enter a caption for your message.

-And then, double-click on legalnoticetext entry and enter your custom message.

 5. Close Registry Editor, and reboot your machine to see the message.
